Yesterday, we were proud to receive the 2020 ACEI Project Management Award for our work on the Swords Watermain Rehabilitation Scheme. Our Project Manager Patrick Cunningham stated that:
“This was a fantastic project to have worked on and provided an opportunity for all professionals involved to showcase what can be done when we work together with a common goal.
The success of this project may be attributable to the collaborative working relationships developed among all stakeholders in the delivery of the project.
Irish Water as client provided the investment to allow the project plan to progress, Fingal County Council having historically managed the ageing asset continued to work proactively in facilitating road and site works. Businesses and elected representatives remained engaged in a positive manner and supported all public engagements with positive input throughout. GMC Utilities Group, as appointed contractor, contributed with dedicated site staff to accelerating the programme of construction of works on site, ahead of programme.
This came about through good early stage planning, a commendable approach to stakeholder engagement and a Client team that had the interests of businesses and stakeholders to the fore in delivering this project successfully.“
We would like to thank all those involved and ACEI for granting us this award. Visit the link to read more about the project.
