Featured Project Examples
Greater Dublin Drainage
The core requirement of the Greater Dublin Drainage project was to safely deliver a Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant and associated marine outfall located in the northern part of the Greater Dublin Area (GDA), and an Orbital Drainage System linking the Regional WWTP to the existing regional sewer network.
Drogheda Main Drainage
Drogheda is one of the largest towns in County Louth and in recent years, has experienced rapid population growth with expansion of the town and its environs. Drogheda Main Drainage and Wastewater Disposal Scheme was implemented to improve the water quality of the River Boyne, to comply with the Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive and to improve the potential for continued development of the town.
Dundalk Main Drainage and Waste Water Disposal Scheme
TOBIN provided engineering consultancy services for the Preliminary Report, Detailed Design, Procurement and Construction Administration for the Dundalk Wastewater Treatment Plant. In 2011, Louth County Council commissioned TOBIN to prepare a Preliminary Report to examine options to achieve reductions in effluent Total Nitrogen and Total Phosphorous concentrations in order to comply with the new water quality legislation and the Waste Water Discharge License (WWDL) emission limit values, where the existing outfall discharges to the designated Castletown Estuary.
Blanchardstown Regional Drainage Scheme
TOBIN was privileged to contribute to this landmark project, which involved the installation of over 3km of combined sewer using advanced trenchless techniques and the construction of essential shafts to facilitate pipeline installation, large underground stormwater storage tanks, pumping station and associated superstructure.
