TOBIN-UK Managing Director: Dr Mark Richards
TOBIN Consulting Engineers are proud to announce the recent appointment of Dr. Mark Richards to the position of Managing Director for TOBIN UK. Mark joins us from CH2M London where he held the position of European Sales Director for their Building Engineering Division. Prior to joining CH2M, Mark worked as an Associate Director with the Robert Bird Group, and with ARUP where notably he project managed and led, over a period of six years, the structural engineering design of Heron Tower, which is one of London’s tallest and most prestigious buildings.
Mark qualified as a Structural Engineer at the University of Glamorgan and subsequently received his Doctorate from the same University. He is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the Institution of Structural Engineers and a member of the Institute of Industrial Designers. In addition Mark is a Fellow of London’s South Bank University where he serves as Chair of its Industrial Advisory Board. Mark also acts as an advisor to the Trade Commissioner of the ‘Canadian High Commission on structural engineering and tall buildings’ and is an expert Technical Panel Member of the Council for Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat.
Mark will be based in our Westminster office in London and will be responsible for the broader operations of the TOBIN business in the UK. Mark will work with our colleagues in London as we continue our growth in the UK market. We look forward to working closely with Mark and wish him every success over the coming months as a valued member of the broader TOBIN team.
