This development consisted of works to the existing buildings known as the upper courtyard buildings and the caretaker’s house, within the curtilage of Abbotstown House (a protected structure). The buildings were disused for a number of years prior to development and conversion to office accommodation for Sport Ireland.
The works consisted of complete conversation, refurbishment and fit-out including new mechanical and electrical systems. The existing timber sash windows were restored, and existing structural members were maintained, where possible. This new facility is a ‘sister hub’ to the National Indoor Arena offices for administration/clerical operations at the National Sports Campus site.
