Joe joined the Environment & Planning Division as a Project Ecologist in 2023, in our Limerick Office. He is an Associate member of CIEEM. He has expert knowledge of (mesopelagic) fish identification and ecology, having worked at Naturalis Biodiversity Centre (The Netherlands) and as a fisheries observer on Dutch and Irish trawlers.

In 2018 he became an Ecologist in Ireland and has since carried out numerous Appropriate Assessments, Ecological Impact Assessments, and habitat, mammal and bat surveys. Joe has been Project Manager and/or the lead Aquatic Ecologist on many projects involving lamprey, salmonid and crayfish surveys.

Away from the office, Joe is working on developing gills – spending all his spare time surfing and scuba diving along the magnificent Clare coastline!
