Akshay is a Civil Engineering Technologist from South Africa with over 8 years of experience in the Structural Engineering industry. He graduated from Durban University of Technology in 2017 with a National Diploma in Civil Engineering, along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Engineering in 2021 and is professionally developing towards becoming a Chartered Member of Engineers Ireland.

He joined TOBIN in April 2024 and is currently working as a Project Structural Engineer in the Building and Infrastructure division in the Galway office. His role comprises of project management and collaboration through structural design with regular quality assurance affirmations. He works on projects in the residential, commercial, industrial, and educational sectors, taking them from the conception and feasibility stage through to detail design, construction, and handover.
