TOBIN Consulting Engineers are delighted that two of our projects were shortlisted in this year’s ICSH Allianz Community Housing – Public Choice Awards 2021.
The Westside Modular Family Hub was developed by Galway City Council and Peter McVerry Trust in partnership with the Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government, and the Housing Agency to temporarily house families while they seek a long-term solution to their housing needs. Comprising of 15 units and an on-site playground, this first-of-its-kind facility allows families to maintain independent living, build their life-skills and engage effectively with Peter McVerry Trust and Galway City Council to find a long-term home.
Baile an Rí, Ballinasloe was designed to provide age-friendly independent housing and services for people in housing need all over Ireland. These houses are easily accessible and consists of photovoltaic panels, generating on the spot free electricity to residents.
We are very proud to have been involved in the delivery of these important projects for the West of Ireland.
