The first phase of this project comprised of the construction of a full size floodlit 4G synthetic pitch with two ‘cross play’ multi-use pitch options complete with fencing, ball-stop netting and hurling wall. Other elements included a significant retaining wall, perimeter fencing and landscaping, storm attenuation system for entire site, a generator room and switch room, local repairs to the existing car park and new site lighting and CCTV.
The surface is an all-weather grass which can accommodate a range of sports training and matches including Gaelic games, rugby, soccer, ultimate frisbee, and American football, as well as other recreational activities. There is a total of 6 changing rooms and 2 accessible WC changing/ referees room.
In our role as Lead Consultant for the various elements of these works, TOBIN acted as point of contact for the client in liaising with the various members of the design and construction teams. We provided specialist advice and design and contract administration services for the development and PSDP on all works.
