TOBIN is acting as Lead Designer for Design Build contractor Ward & Burke for this significant project, which involves the storage of treated biosolids generated at Ringsend Wastewater Treatment Plant and other facilities within the Greater Dublin Drainage project area. The development comprises two large storage buildings, each measuring 105m in length and 50m in width internally, with 12 bays sized at 17m by 20m for efficient material segregation. Additionally, the project includes two M&E Control buildings, an Administration and Welfare Building, and an ESB Substation featuring a customer room, along with extensive site works.

Approved by An Bord Pleanála in April 2019 as part of the Ringsend Wastewater Treatment Plant expansion, this facility will play a crucial role in enhancing Dublin’s wastewater treatment infrastructure. It supports the region’s ongoing social and economic development while ensuring environmental sustainability.

Construction commenced in early 2024 at Newtown near Kilshane Cross, Dublin 11, with an estimated completion time of approximately two years.
