Sod turned on Shannon Commercial Properties’ €10 million Development
TOBIN: Civil and Structural Engineers for new 55,000 square foot office development in the Shannon Free Zone
TOBIN Consulting Engineers is delighted to be involved as the Civil and Structural engineers for a new 55,000 square foot office development being built in the Shannon Free Zone, Co. Clare. This specific project, which will be built to LEED Gold standards, forms a central element of a broader €25m first phase redevelopment programme at this famous Mid-West site. The €10 million state-of-the-art office development is designed specifically for FDI and Irish enterprises seeking innovative and high-spec office space. With four 13,500 square foot floors, this office space is suitable for single or multiple tenancies.
Speaking at the sod-turning in Shannon last week, Minister Pat Breen explained how this ‘state of the art facility will have the capacity to attract hundreds of jobs into the Shannon Free Zone’. Also speaking at the event, Shannon Group Chairman Rose Hynes stated that the key objective of this project ‘is to deliver the type of investment that will facilitate major job creation, either from IDA clients or the indigenous sector’.
Sammon Contracting Ireland Ltd is the main contractor for the project which will start with immediate effect, and it is expected that over 120 construction jobs will be sustained during construction. Works will be completed by May of next year.
