Darragh HobbsProject Manager - Environment & Planning

    Darragh joins the Environment & Planning Division at TOBIN as a Project Manager, bringing over fifteen years’ of deep industry experience transitioning from focused research as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow to delivering critical infrastructure projects in Ireland, the UK and beyond. He has worked in both Contracting and Consultancy firms operating largely in the water and environmental sectors with a skill set comprising operational management, technical engineering, project and commercial management and business development.

    Darragh holds an Honours Degree in Science, specialising in Microbiology from the National University of Ireland Galway as well as a Masters in Water Services Management from IT Sligo. He is Chartered as an Engineer, Scientist, Environmentalist and Water and Environmental Manager. He was elected as a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) in 2019 and held the position of Chair of the Republic of Ireland branch from 2021 to 2024. He is also a Member of the Institute of Engineers Ireland.

    Outside of work, Darragh is a keen angler and often takes to Ireland’s lakes, rivers and coastal waters for open-water swimming. As a proud Clare native, Darragh follows hurling at Club and County level throughout the season.
