Dr. Forde is the Technical Director and Senior Ecologist in TOBIN’s Environment & Planning division.

James is an ecologist with almost 20 years of academic and environmental consultancy experience. He has significant experience in the provision of strategic technical and environmental advice for developments across a wide range of sectors in both Ireland and the UK, including onshore and offshore renewables, telecommunications, flood relief schemes, port and harbour developments, energy generation, and transmission.

He holds B.Sc. (hons) and M.Sc. degrees in marine ecology from the University of North Wales, Bangor, and a Ph.D. in ecology from the University of Galway. He is also a full member of the CIEEM.

James’ interests outside of work include hiking and kayaking.
