John is a Chartered Civil Engineer with extensive experience in civil engineering projects including over 22 years working in the water and wastewater sector. He received his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a master’s degree in Water and Environmental Engineering from University College Dublin.

John’s experience includes design, contract administration, project management and site supervision of water supply and wastewater schemes. In recent years, he has worked on Design and Build Projects which resulted in the construction and refurbishment of six water treatment plants in Africa and Ireland. In TOBIN, John works as a Senior Design Engineer in a project team providing technical services to Irish Water.

In his spare time, John likes, swimming, walking and playing the piano.
