Juan joined TOBIN’s Building & Infrastructure division as a Project Structural Engineer and brings five years of experience designing structures subject to seismic actions and wind loads. He graduated as a Civil Engineer from Universidad de Costa Rica in 2015, and since then has been a member of the CFIA (Professional Engineering and Architecture Organization of Costa Rica). He relocated to Ireland in 2020 from Costa Rica and became an Engineers Ireland Member in 2021.

He has extensive experience in the structural design of mid-rise residential reinforced concrete buildings, low-rise commercial and industrial steel portal frame buildings, and low-rise mixed-use reinforced concrete buildings.

In his spare time, Juan loves to travel with his wife, watching movies, tv series, reading books and playing video games.
