Michael is a Chartered Civil Engineer and a Chartered Director with more than 40 years’ experience in the construction sector in Ireland and internationally. Michael qualified as an engineer from NUIG and then completed a M.Sc. in Engineering Structures in Trinity College.  Michael spent most of his career with PM Group; the Irish based international Engineering and project management consultants. He has worked as a design engineer, project manager and project director on a variety of projects across many sectors and geographies. He has worked in many parts of the world and has been heavily involved in the international development of PM Group. Michael was an Executive Director for 18 years and has also completed a course with the Institute of Directors leading to qualification as a Chartered Director. Michael also acted as Risk Director and has extensive knowledge of Risk Management.

Michael is a keen golfer and a strong supporter of Leinster and Ireland Rugby. He is also a lover of hurling and a keen fan across many other sports.
